As a project connected to metro line 4 in Budapest, a pedestrian subway exit structure was built, which provides connection to areas on the Őrmező side of the Kelenföldi Railway Station. The project included the construction of a temporary bus terminal at street level as well as the construction of Péterhegyi út and Alsó Beregszászi út connected to it. Under the project, our company performed a comprehensive design task (the assistance of our subcontractors was requested in the building trades of architecture, fire protection and acoustics). In the complex project, in addition to the working facilities corresponding to the requirements of the metro, one of the first new customer centres of BKK, meeting high requirements, and the fit-out of the working facilities of a bus (BKK) and coach (Volán) terminal were also included in the subway structure. Under the project, it was also necessary to upgrade utilities in the vicinity as well, including the construction of Sasadi árok, a canalised brook, and district heating pipelines in accordance with the most recent requirements. The bus terminal designed at street level for temporary purposes is completely suitable for receiving local and intertown services, not to mention the possibility of establishing connected P+R and B+R parking facilities. An engineering structure meeting the requirements of the intermodal hub and envisaged in long-term development, which also meets traffic, operational and structural considerations.
