As commissioned by the consortium consisting of Utiber Kft. and Tura-Terv Kft., our Company prepared the geotechnical work part for road construction and two engineering structures on the Berettyóújfalu–Nagykereki (national boundary) section of the M4 Motorway. The about 32 km long motorway section runs mostly on a low embankment, but soft clay soils and a poorly drained area represent a major geotechnical task even in the case of low embankments. In addition, part of the proposed motorway runs through a mine pond and the two engineering structures are connected to high backfills, which represented a major challenge from a geotechnical point of view.
